By Karl Shaw T he Woodlands Township employs over 330 seasonal lifeguards and lifeguard supervisory staff every summer to help keep all Township pools clean and safe for swimmers. Township lifeguards placed second in Scenario One, first and third in Scenario Two, and second in Scenario Three.The Woodlands Community Magazine August: Hosted by the Texas Public Pool Council at the Jack Carter Pool in Plano, the State Lifeguard Championship required lifeguards to compete in multiple scenarios including first aid rescues, spinal rescues and multiple victim rescues. “Township lifeguards consistently place among the best in area competitions, and we are proud of their continued success and commitment to keeping our residents and visitors safe.” ![]() “Our lifeguards work diligently to keep swimmers safe in our community pools,” said John McGowan, Director of Parks and Recreation at The Woodlands Township.
